Lighthouse Hustle

I finally made the time today to go visit http://leuchtturm3.blogspot.com/ to see what the fuss was about. If you don’t know by now, this is the blog that Malaysia cited as their independent source for their photo of the Horsburgh Lighthouse on Pedra Branca. Their intention was to show the proximity of the lighthouse to […]

Flashback

20071120babyclare.jpg, originally uploaded by photokalia. I recently finished the roll of film in the EOS 5. Developing it was like taking a walk back into history. This was taken when Clare was a tiny baby, just a few months old. Despite the fact that she’s grown a lot bigger since then, every time I look […]

The One Arm Bandit

Lately Clare has been doing Houdini impressions, escaping from all manner of things, eg her pyjamas, the seatbelt on her car seat, etc. I call her the One Arm Bandit.

Sparklers

Kids playing with sparklers at Nate’s first birthday party at Colbar.

I’m trying not to get excited but…

… this is the best news I’ve heard all day! M1 is in talks with Apple to bring the iPhone to Asia! Hopefully this isn’t a hoax. At the very least, I expect the iPhone to be launched in China, since the market there is so huge.

Curtains

20071027thundercurtains.jpg, originally uploaded by photokalia. It’s curtains for Thunder. He didn’t move when I closed the curtains and I couldn’t resist taking this shot of him looking too scared to move 🙂

Jammin’ with Mummy

20071108claredrumming.jpg, originally uploaded by photokalia. Clare the future rock drummer. She really does have a good sense of rhythm (better than me anyway), and I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up picking up a musical instrument next time.

Energizer Bunny out of Juice

20071110claresleeping.jpg, originally uploaded by photokalia. Clare is like an Energizer bunny. She never knows when she’s tired. She’ll just keep going and going until she finally runs out of juice. She tried desperately not to fall asleep but finally did when her battery ran flat… in this uncomfortable position.

Acronym Anarchy

Joan is going to think I’m nuts for blogging about this, but it bothers me. Singapore has a habit of creating an acronym for everything. When it comes to naming our expressways, it is the same thing. PIE, CTE, KJE, AYE, SLE… it would take a Singaporean to understand them all, and that we do […]

Doggy Saturday

Got the chance to play around with Joan’s new (well 2nd hand new) Panasonic Lumix LX2 on Saturday. I love the 16:9 images 🙂 Me and my t-shirt buddy Zap. No prizes for guessing which one is the Jack Russell :p Bond the Corgi. End of a long and HOT day.
